What is the NFL?

The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league. The league contains 32 teams divided equally between the American Football Conference and the National Football Conference.

The NFL is one of the four major professional sports leagues in North America, and the highest professional level of American football in the world.

The NFL's 18-week regular season runs from early September to early January, with each team playing 17 games and having one bye week. Following the conclusion of the regular season, seven teams from each conference advance to the playoffs, a single-elimination tournament culminating in the Super Bowl, which is played between the champions of the NFC and AFC.

NFL All Day is the only digital collectible marketplace that lets football fans around the world collect limited edition officially licensed NFL video highlights called Moments.

A Moment is a video highlight of an iconic play from a NFL game that has been stored forever on the Flow Blockchain and is immutable. This means that the Moment cannot be edited or deleted. Every Moment is part of a tier that shows its rarity. The rarer the Moment, the more valuable it is.

What are Packs and Pack Drops?

Just like traditional collectibles and trading cards, NFL All Day Moments are commonly released to fans in packs. When a fan gets a pack, they don’t know which Moments will be inside – though they’ll usually come from a certain list of players and highlights associated with the pack you purchase. 

Pack drops are similar to a drop of the latest sneakers or exclusive designer merch; they are scheduled times at which NFL All Day  packs go on sale. Each one is announced in advance so fans can plan to attend. Starting an hour beforehand (typically), fans can join the waiting room. Once the drop starts, all fans in the waiting room are given a randomized spot in the queue. If a fan’s turn comes up before all the packs are sold out, they’ll have a chance to buy a pack.

What are Challenges?

Challenges are ways to utilize a fan’s NFL All Day collection to earn rewards. Every Challenge is different, but the general idea is to collect and own specific Moments to earn prizes, such as exclusive Reward packs. An example challenge is the Trade Tracker Challenge which pays tribute, tasking fans with collecting Moments from players who’ve been traded this offseason.

According to Dave Feldman, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Dapper Labs, NFL All Day’s focus is to create “a really robust immersive companion experience for NFL fans that’s rooted in scarcity and high-level digital collectibles”. Furthermore, he states that Dapper’s job is to drive fan engagement. There will be real-world physical rewards and benefits to encourage collecting, such as trips to the Super Bowl and NFL Draft.

NFL All Day is planning to expand to deliver rewards and real-world experiences, via exclusive events and rewarding fans for game days, including ticket upgrades, hospitality, experiential zones and exclusive merchandise.

It's worth noting that the challenge utility and exclusive drop access are perks that are limited to the upcoming season, Once Series 2 of NFL ALL DAY closes, both 1st- and 2nd-Generation Team NFTs will primarily be pure collectibles, but the vanity profile banners will remain accessible.
