Please introduce yourselves, your personal background up until founding JUKE

‍I was a film student at NYU before moving to LA to work in the industry full-time. I worked as an Acquisitions executive at a film distribution company, eOne, for 6+ years then worked atUniversal Pictures most recently before venturing into the tech/entrepreneurial space.

Give us a quick overview of what JUKE is and what inspired you to build JUKE

JUKE is a digital collectibles platform build solely for the film & TV fan in mind. We license notable films and TV shows to create on-chain collecting experience. Our inspiration was a hybrid of being early TopShot users, longtime video game players, physical card collectors, and understanding how Hollywood could be shaped by the future of web3 in a net-positive way for fans across the world.

How big is the JUKE team? How much funding have you gotten and who were the investors?

The overall JUKE team is between 10-15 people depending on the project we’re working on. We raised a $3M seed round that was led by Castle Island Ventures, with participation from North Island Ventures and Multicoin Capital.

Please tell us more about your upcoming drop - Ace Ventura: Pet Detective

The Ace Ventura: Pet Detective drop was in partnership with Morgan Creek Productions to create limited edition “dynamic poster” digital collectibles reimagining the film’s artwork. We worked with Akiko Stehrenberger, an award-winning and highly acclaimed film poster artist to create two versions of the digital Ace poster — a Common version of #1000 editions and a Rare version out of #200 editions.

JUKE as a platform will provide utility across all of our IP drops as we will build a collector score amongst other tools, but we also have specific utility planned for the holders of the Ace collectibles that we will be announcing soon. Think along the line of physical utility only accessible by the token holders of the dynamic posters themselves.

What interests you about Flow? How do you see the Flow ecosystem evolving over the coming years?

We’ve been FLOW champions for quite some time as we chose early on to build here. We believe in the collectible ecosystem offering an abundance of cross-promotion and cross-utility possibilities along with the easy on-boarding experience for new users and scalability that we’ve seen on larger scale global IP-driven consumer product driven experiences like Top Shot, NFL All Day, etc.

Favourite Flow NFT collection so far?

I was one of the folks who minted a Ballerz NFT when it launched and found that project to be a really cool example to community-created IP anchored by an existing community driven experience like Top Shot. I’m also a big fan of the Hoodlums NFT collection and the team at Sturdy as I really love the artwork and team behind it.

What can collectors/holders look forward to for JUKE in 2023?

We are excited to announce more of our upcoming IP slate and of course our Marketplace opening in Q1 2023.
One of the things we are fiercely committed to providing are:

1) cohesion across all IP experiences (so the diversity of your collection/activity allows you verifiably track where you stand amongst other film/TV fans around the world — both on and off-chain...)

2) Expressing your collectibles in both physical and digital spaces — things like physical merchandise that you can wear IRL and social spaces to discuss what you’re passionate about and flex your collections are really important to the future of web3 entertainment
